I’ve never had a God to love me or a dragon to protect me. I’ve never had spirits to talk to or elementals to summon. Not once have I spoken to a tree, a raccoon, the water or the sky.
I hold none of these beings with me, but I am not alone. I have magics of my own, I have protections that no caster can give.
I have hope, I have trust, and I have love.
Bad things will happen, horrible events will occur. People will die and hearts will break.
But as long as I have these and share them with the world, I will have done all that I can do, I will have given my all.
And that brings me comfort no God ever could.
