I don’t have such fancy weapons, but here they are. In order from left to right:
1. The sword was my first boffer and was commissioned from a guy in my group who unfortunately stopped attending due to health and other issues. His stuff is normally insanely detailed, but I just wanted something cheap since I didn’t know if I wanted to larp continuously yet.
2.The rainstick is my first foray into making my own boffer weapons. I put beans inside the pvc pipe so that it actually sounds a bit like a rainstick. Because it’s so short and the pipe is so narrow, the sound isn’t super great, but I have dreams of one day making a long rainstick staff. The fabric around the middle is crocheted.
3. This is my least used weapon which I made for a zombie larp (Dystopia Rising) which I only attended once. I played a “Yorker” and my story was that in the destruction of nyc I found this signpost broken off, picked it up, and used it to swat at zombies. It’s a fun weapon that I quite like but the actually sign part of it is rather soft foam and crappy duct tape and therefore it wouldn’t hold up under too much combat.
